China Asset Management Business

The fund management business of Changjiang Securities Company Limited (Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Stock Code: 000783) has been well established in the domestic market of China, whereas:

Changxin Asset Management Co., Ltd. (“Changxin”) was incorporated in Shanghai, whose shares are jointly holding by Changjiang Securities Company Limited, Shanghai Haixin Group Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd.

  • For the period ending 2010, the total asset value of the 10 funds under Changxin’s management was RMB 20.6 billion.

Lord Abbett Fund Management Co., Ltd. (“Lord Abbet”) was incorporated in Shanghai, whose shares are jointly holding by American Lord Abbett & Co. LLC, Changjiang Securities Company Ltd. and Tsinghua Holdings Co., Ltd.

  • For the period ending 2010, the total asset value of the 5 funds under Lord Abbet’s management was RMB 3.9 billion.

Nurturing Changjiang's Investment Schemes as the Flagship Products

In 2001, Changjiang China established the first “financial cooperation silver certificates 銀證合作理財" in the industry.

In April 2005, Changjiang introduced its “Changjiang Wealth Management Scheme No.1” , which became one of the first three collective investment products being authorized under the new policy set out for the securities firms in respect of the launch of their asset management business.

For the period ending 2010, ten collective investment products under “Changjiang Wealth Management Schemes” were launched, amounting to a pool of RMB 4.311 billion. The Schemes’ primary investments cover stock-related, bond-related and FOF-related financial instruments.

Awards:

In 2009, the net asset value’s growth rate of “Changjiang Wealth Management Scheme – Bond Fund” was ranked 2nd amongst the peers.

In 2010, Changjiang China – Fund Management was awarded “The Best Asset Management Department in the Chinese Securities Companies, 2010” in an industry campaign (namely “2010 the Best Securities Company in China 2010”) held in Wuhan.

Changjian Wealth Management Scheme - Flexible Allocation” was awarded “The Best Financial Planning Product in Chinese Securities Companies 2010” and “The Most Popular Financial Planning Product in Private Equity Funds of China 2010”.
