Adjustment of U.S. FINRA Trading Activities Fee on U.S. Stock Trading
Dear Valued Clients,
Effective from 1st Jan 2024, the FINRA trading activities fee on U.S. Stock Trading will be adjusted as below:
1nd January, 2024 Notice of New Year’s Holiday
Dear Customer:
HK stock market will be closed on January 1, 2024 (Monday) due to New Year’s Holiday.
The North-bound trading of Shanghai/Shenzhen Connect will be closed on January 1, 2024 (Monday).
U.S. stock market will be closed on January 1, 2024 (Monday) (US time), and will resume trading on January 2, 2024 (Tuesday) (US time).
HK stock market and the North-bound trading of Shanghai/Shenzhen Connect will resume trading on January 2, 2024 (Tuesday).
Notice of Christmas Closing on December 25 and December 26, 2023
Dear Customer:
December 25 (Monday) to December 26 (Tuesday), 2023 is the Christmas holiday in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong stock market will be closed all day, and there will be no northbound trading of Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Connect.
The U.S. stock market will be closed on December 25, 2023 (Monday), U.S. time, and will resume trading on December 26 (Tuesday).
23rd November, 2023 Notice of US holiday – Thanksgiving
Dear Customer:
Thanksgiving is approaching, the U.S. stock market will be closed on November 23, 2023 (Thursday), and the market will close at 2:00am (Hong Kong time) on November 24, 2023 (Friday). Please make arrangements for transactions and funds in advance.
Notice of Reduction of Stamp Duty on Stock Transactions

From 17th November 2023, the rate of stamp duty chargeable on a contract note for the sale or purchase of any Hong Kong stock (not being jobbing business) will be reduced from 0.13% to 0.1%.

The U.S. stock market will start Winter Time on November 6, 2023 (Monday), and the trading time will be changed to Hong Kong time from Monday to Friday from 22:30 to 5:00 am the next day.
